Despite being born in Houston, North Florida became Lisa Oliasami’s (’06) second home. She moved to Ponte Vedra as a child, graduated from Nease High School, and stayed local for college where she earned her bachelor’s in health science from the UNF Brooks College of Health.

Beloved daughter and sister, Lisa left us too soon and with heavy hearts. She passed away in Jacksonville Beach in 2017 surrounded by her family. As a way to keep her memory alive, Lisa’s parents, Jeffrey and Ivy, and younger sister, Susan, have established the Lisa Oliasami “Lisa Lives On” Memorial Scholarship.

Lisa loved The Footprints in the Sand poem and would often look to God’s presence and comfort during difficult days. Now, she will be the one supporting those in their times of need. The objective of the Lisa Lives On Memorial Scholarship is to provide funding to two UNF students who are pursuing a degree in healthcare.

While we wish Lisa was still with us, we take solace knowing her memory will be forever associated with helping others along their journeys.
